Why we’re thankful to work at CGPR!

Nearly 15 years ago our fearless leaders, Denise and Lynese, took a leap of faith and started Common Ground Public Relations. Fast-forward to today: CGPR is nine team members strong! And through all of the ups and the downs, Denise and Lynese have been committed to making CGPR an incredible place to work. So in the spirit of Thanksgiving, here are just a few reasons why our team is grateful to work at CGPR:

  1. Support and empowerment: “I’m thankful for each and every one of the wonderful, passionate, dedicated women at CGPR who constantly support me, teach me, and help me grow in my public relations career,” says Account Executive Maggie; And it’s true. “We support each other and push our colleagues to be the best PR professional they can be, and our leaders set this as a priority from the beginning,” says Account Supervisor Nina. After nine years of working at CGPR, Nina is continuously thankful for Denise and Lynese who not only motivate, mentor and value our team, but always celebrate the big and small successes.
  2. Flexibility: “I am thankful for working in an environment that appreciates balance between life and work,” says Account Supervisor Pia. A work-life balance is important. You should be able to see your child’s last dance recital, and those annual eye exams should never be missed!
  3. Commitment to excellence: We never stop at good because we are always striving for great. Our main goal? To achieve excellent results for our clients. “We’re lucky to have a team that puts our clients first,” says Account Executive Kelsey. “We get the work done, and we have fun in the process. It’s what makes us such a strong team.”
  4. Our clients: To our first client, Doug Gilberg: “Thank you for jumping in head first. We couldn’t have done this without you,” says CEO and Founder Denise.  We wouldn’t be here without the clients who place their trust in us each and every day – thank you for letting us be an extension of your team.
  5. Positive environment full of laughter and creativity: “When people ask me if I like what I do, I tell them that I am so thankful to work at a place where I wake up in the morning full of excitement for the day ahead, thinking, I get to go to work today!” says Account Supervisor Jenna. She couldn’t be more spot on. Denise made certain that she and Lynese created a culture that emulated “great work, laughs, support, creativity and sincerity” – and they succeeded.
  6. When work friends become real friends: “I truly get to come in each day and work with my friends!” says Account Executive Colleen. “The people make the job worth it,” says fellow Account Executive Stephanie. “But if that sounds like something everyone says about their office, it’s really true here!”

Happy Thanksgiving from our team to yours!
