LouFest 2016: CGPR’s Top Picks

The seventh-annual LouFest is just around the corner (September 10 and 11 in Forest Park) and promises to be the best fest yet. The uniquely St. Louis festival will feature more than 30 national and regional acts performing across four stages throughout the weekend, and other unique festival experiences such as the Market Square that showcases local artists and vendors; the Nosh Pit, which celebrates the Lou’s culinary excellence; and the securely designated family-friendly LouKidz area.

As we gear up for a jam-packed weekend in Forest Park, here’s what our CGPR team is most excited for:

Jenna’s Pick: Ms. Lauryn Hill

Sunday, September 11, 7:00 p.m., Forest Park Stage

I’d have to say I’m most excited to see Ms. Lauryn Hill. I love old-school Fugees jams, and she starred in one of my favorite movies ever, Sister Act 2.

Pia’s Pick: Pearl Vodka & Sugarfire Smokehouse BBQ

Looking forward to enjoying some great music at LouFest, complete with a Pearl Vodka cocktail and some Sugarfire BBQ – nothing closes out the summer better than this combo!

Denise’s Pick: Chris Stapleton

Saturday, September 10, 8:30 p.m., Bud Light Stage

What a treat he is. I love that he was a writer first. This video shows him well…fun, spirited, straight-up talent.

Maggie’s Pick: Big Gigantic

Saturday, September 10, 7:30 p.m., Forest Park Stage

I just love Big Gigantic’s sound. It’s a little funky and makes you want to dance – it’s not the same old EDM sound.

Nina’s Pick: Nosh Pit

Getting hungry for both the new and classic food vendors who will be cooking up favorites at LouFest 2016!

Kelsey’s Pick: Ices Plain & Fancy

I’m SUPER excited about Ices Plain & Fancy nitro ice cream because it’s only offered in a few cities across the U.S., and STL is one of them!
